SAN MARCOS, Texas — A new film studio planned for San Marcos could take the Texas movie scene to a new level. According to a report from the Austin Business Journal (ABJ), the San Marcos City Council will meet Tuesday to discuss potential incentives for an 820,000-square-foot "state-of-the-art motion picture studio facility" at 6202 West Centerpoint Road in the La Cima master-planned development. City documents indicate the project could include 12 sound stages, backlots, production offices and more.
