Mandy Wisham was all smiles, standing at the left side of the entry to Wylie East Intermediate School on Wednesday, greeting students on the first day of school.She obviously teaches fifth-graders because she was wearing a T-shirt imprinted with "Fifth Grade." Wisham is a language arts and social studies teacher.Across from her was Julie Olmsted, also a fifth-grade teacher. Her subjects are math and science."They are our kids," Wisham said. She, Olmsted and other teachers and staff are ready to "pour ourselves into them all year.
